TIPS & TRICKS

  • Pay attention to your available sunlight. Most vegetable crops require full sun. Choose a garden site with optimum sunlight.

  • If you garden at a Higher Elevation, expect summer crops to grow more slowly until night time temperatures increase.

  • Try and understand the 'micro climate' at your garden site by observation and note taking for future reference.

  • Notice weather patterns: What direction is the prevailing wind? How do storms typically approach your property? What month is warmest or coldest?
